Collagen Induction Therapy (Microneedling)
A natural way to revitalize your skin
Healthier + Younger Skin
Collagen Induction Therapy (also known as Microneedling) is a cosmetic treatment that uses tiny needles to prick the top layers of the skin. These little holes stimulate the skin to produce collagen and elastin leaving your skin bright and full. Collagen Induction Therapy helps treat a variety of concerns:
Helps lighten sun spots
Reduces the appearance of large pores
Reduces acne scars and discoloration
Evens skin tone
Improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Gives skin a luminous glow
Reduces broken capillaries and spider veins
Reduces the appearance of dark circles under the eyes
Helps to plump the hollows under the eyes
Hair restoration and growth
How does Collagen Induction Therapy (Microneedling) work?
The needles on the microneedling device leave tiny pokes in your skin at very specific depths which causes your skin to kick into healing mode. Your skin then repairs itself by increasing collagen and elastin to heal these microscopic holes left on the face. Studies have shown us that our skin gradually loses its collagen and elastin, causing the characteristics signs of aging in the face. Therefore, encouraging your skin to produce these materials will cause your skin to gain strength and look younger and healthier.
The skin that has been studied after miconeedling with PRF and PRP has been shown to have an increase in multiple types of collagen immediately below the outermost layer of the skin.
What is PRP?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments work by injecting isolated platelets rich in growth-inducing stem cells from a patient’s own blood to stimulate collagen production in a particular area. As a result, your skin will be left stronger, smoother, and with revived elasticity.
What is PRF?
PRF stands for “platelet rich fibrin” and it’s the next step in the evolution of natural skin and hair rejuvenation. PRF is a fibrin matrix comprised of platelet growth factors, cytokines and cells used to promote skin rejuvenation and hair growth. PRF is used to address similar issues as PRP, however, PRF releases growth factors for much longer, up to one week versus PRP which releases growth factors for a few hours therefore promote faster healing.
Once prepared the PRF is immediately ready for injection into the face to fill facial folds and wrinkles, to fill in the hollows under the eyes and dark circles and overall improve skin tone and texture. The PRF can also be injected into the scalp to aid in hair restoration and growth.
Under-Eye Area
PRP/PRFM injections in the under-eye area are an excellent treatment for addressing fine lines and wrinkles in this region for optimum rejuvenation. PRP contains growth factors that stimulate collagen production when injected into the skin. By stimulating new collagen production, platelet-rich plasma helps tighten loose skin around the eyes to lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles like crow’s feet, while also eliminating bags/hollowness underneath the eyes
